Part of Japan collection inspired by my travels there in 2016. Bold and beautiful, this piece is steeped in Japanese cultural and spiritual symbology.
Kintsugi is a Japanese technique and art form where broken pottery is mended with gold. The mended pieces serves as reminder that the once perfectly whole pot, is now more beautiful because of it’s brokenness. Spiritually, the koi fish represent material abundance and good fortune.
The colours of this piece are so dynamic, it catches the eye in any room and would for sure be a conversation starter! With its rich symbolism, the energy transfer from this piece can only bring positive abundance in your space.

It gives of a super relaxing feel because painting that repeated patterns was a very meditate process.
The original piece is gilded with gold leaf.. The gold detailing has been preserved as each print is hand finished with gold ink.
