THE ARTIST

Having always known I was put on this earth to do something meaningful, I have made it my life’s mission to spread beauty and highlight the joy that is to be had in everyday life. This is something that I experience and express in an infinite amount of ways, but mainly through painting and writing.
Despite spending a lifetime chasing the “big” milestones and achievements, my most profound realisations have always happened during deep appreciation for the present moment. Those moments that most of us would consider seemingly mundane and meaningless.
Being born in Hong Kong, raised in England, with ancestral roots in Vietnam too, I experienced a broad view of the world, the paradox of culture clashes and the nuances in life from multiple perspectives from an early age. Always trying to fit it, I found my early years to be dominated with exploring the big questions in life which led me to academia, graduating in Philosophy and Politics. This thirst for knowledge and wisdom was followed by a nomadic journey, leaving everything I knew to travel the world, explore different cultures and ways of thinking before turning that exploration inwards through self-development and spirituality. During the 2020 pandemic, I found myself back in the very place I tried so hard to run away from, and from there, I uncovered my hidden flair for artistry and never looked back.
My creative inspiration stems from the direct result of my experiences in the physical and meta-physical world. Although I never intended to chose a life of art, it was clear that I found my true purpose.
Through my work, you will the explore the nooks and crannies of the world, escape to the depths of the soul and contemplate the simple moments through a lens of beauty, romance, nostalgia and joy.
I hope that by sharing parts of me, I can ignite the parts of you that are waiting to come to light.
